Have you heard of the Dark Skies Initiative? Learn more about this world-wide effort to minimize light pollution that has adverse effects on health, safety, and well-being of all life.
Dr. Bill Kowalik, the Oregon Board President of the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA), will give an informal talk at the River Run Event Center, October 10 from 7 – 8 pm. Dr. Kowalik will provide information on the mission of the International Dark-Sky Association.
All RECOA homeowners are invited to this free speaker forum. It will be especially interesting to star gazers, birders, and life-long learners.
Donations to the not-for-profit Oregon Dark Skies organization to support their work are appreciated.
Come before 7 pm and enjoy a no-host beverage or small appetizer at the River Run Taphouse next to the Event Center. There you can socialize and check out the amazing views of the Deschutes River from their patio.
